March 30 was a stormy day

The National Weather Service issued this map of weather incidents on March 30. Storms, including tornadoes (89), straight-line winds (298) and some hail (2), ranged from Texas across to Alabama and northwest Florida and northward nearly to the Great Lakes. All total there were 389 total storm reports on the 30th. At least 20 of those were in Alabama.
