Patricia Elaine Stuckey Dixon, 75, of Jackson, passed away Sunday, Feb. 6, 2022 at Sacred Heart Hospital, Pensacola, Fla. She was born in Jackson on Dec. 4, 1946.
An active member of the First Baptist Church of Jackson, Patricia was a devoted and beloved wife, mother, grandmother “Sweet P,” teacher and friend. Spending time with her family brought her the most joy. She loved crafting, making special treasures for her grandchildren, golf cart rides with her husband, camping with her children and grandchildren and visits to the beach. She saw beauty all around her and taught her family to delight in the small things. Mostly, she loved Jesus and found her comfort, joy and security in Him.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Stuckey and Marjorie Stuckey.
Patricia is survived by her husband, Frank H. Dixon; son, Joshua Franklin Dixon; daughter, Jessica Dixon Cassity; stepdaughter, Bridgette Dixon Rider; grandchildren, Bryce Edward Ridenour, Elizabeth Grace Dixon, Samuel Joshua Dixon, Madeline Ruth Dixon, Michael Elijah Cassity, Owen Franklin Cassity and Marji Eden Cassity; sisters, Pamella Stuckey Osborn and Paula Stuckey Moseley and numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were Thursday, Feb. 10, at First Baptist Church of Jackson with Dr. Ben Stubblefield officiating. Visitation was from 10 until the 11 a.m. with the service starting at 11 a.m. at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Jackson, with Lathan Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers were Rick Finch, Allen Finch, Dwayne Dixon, Todd Dixon, Neil Goldman, Thad Goldman, Jason Renner and Drew Renner. Honorary pallbearers were her “teacher friends:” Jan South, Mary Anne Lee, Ginger Mosley, Amy Burge, Dickie Bridges, Crystal Bolen, Denise Flowers, Debbie Sullivan, Faye Hicks, Janet McCants, Shannon Odom, Gayle Leathers, Cammie Breedlove, Bridgette Moye and Gretchen Heathcock.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Ascension Sacred Heart Cancer Center, 1545 Airport Blvd., Pensacola, FL 32504.
