Melissa Watts Smith





 

 

Melissa Jeanelle Watts Smith, age 40, a native of Mobile, departed this life at a local hospital in Mobile on Wednesday evening the 7th day of November. A graveside service was celebrated Saturday, Nov. 10th, 2018 at the Richardson Cemetery in Rutan, near Chatom.

Melissa was born in Mobile on the 25th day of March 1978 to Sharon Jeanelle Swartz and the late Abner Thomas Watts. A lifetime resident of Mobile, she attended W.P. Davidson High School.

Melissa was preceded in death by her husband, Jeremiah Smith; her father, Abner Thomas Watts; paternal grandparents, Willard M. “Bill” Watts Sr. and Orra Nannette Richardson Watts; maternal grandparents, Jean Nicholas Swartz and Fannie Clifford Gill Swartz.

Melissa is survived by her husband, Paul Warren; mother, Sharon Jeanelle Swartz Watts; sister, Michelle Watts Smith; brother, Michael Thomas Watts; nieces, Darian Smith and Cassidy Smith; aunts, Carolyn Swartz (Ray) Clark, Debbie Swartz (Wayne) Owens, Dianne Watts (Frank) Parker and Kaye Watts Collier; as well as many loving cousins.
