Parden reunion Saturday, Aug. 31
The Parden family reunion has been announced for Saturday, Aug. 31, at the Bethel Church in the fellowship hall. The church is located in the Bethel community of Coffeeville.
JMC Auxiliary meets monthly
The Jackson Medical Center Auxiliary meets the first Tuesday of each month in the McKenzie Training Building. The next meeting will be, Sept. 3 at 12-noon.
New members are always welcome.
‘Celebrate Recovery’ Mondays at 6
“Celebrate Recovery” is a Christ-centered, 12-step recovery program for anyone struggling with hurt, pain or addiction of any kind. Meetings will be on Mondays, 6 p.m., at the First Baptist Church in Jackson. The church is located at 214 College Avenue.

Story Time for preschoolers!
Join Ms. Teresa each Wednesday at 10 a.m. for preschool Story Time. Ages 3, 4 and 5 come together to enjoy Story Time at the White Smith Memorial Library. There is no charge and registration is not required.

Al-anon of South Alabama meets at 508 Forest Avenue in Jackson every Monday evening at 6:30. The meeting will be at The Arc of Clarke County Annex building across the street from the main TACC building. This is open to anyone that has a family member or close friend that is dealing with addiction. It is a confidential meeting to discuss the difficulties of having a loved one that is struggling with addiction.
A second meeting will be available beginning July 18, 6:30 p.m., at the First United Methodist Church of Jackson. Teenagers are welcome.

Lupus Support Group to meet at WSML
A Lupus Support Group meets at the White Smith Memorial Library in Jackson on the first Monday of each month at 2 p.m.

Social assistance at Salvation Army
The Salvation Army Social Service office is open on Wednesdays from 9-11 a.m. and 2-4 p.m. When in need of assistance with food and a variety of other needs, the office attempts to assist where they can. For additional information call 246-5693.
VFW meets weekly in Jackson
The VFW on Club Wiley Road in Jackson meets the third Saturday of each month at 11 a.m.
Alcoholics Anonymous meetings are relocating. Beginning Saturday, March 30, will be moved to St. Peter’s Episcopal Church fellowship hall located on Hospital Drive. Regular meetings will be Wednesdays and Fridays at 6:30 p.m. and Saturdays at 9 a.m.
Heart of Dixie Collectors Club
