Longtime Jackson car dealer, Bud Scogin dies Monday at his home





Harry Andrew “Bud” Scogin III, 70, president of Scogin Motors, Inc., died Monday, May 14, 2007 at his residence. He was a native of Omaha, Neb. and resident of Jackson. Mr. Scogin was an elder of the First Presbyterian Church of Jackson as well as being Clerk of the Session. He is a former member and past president of the Jackson Rotary Club and member of the Clarke County Republican Executive Committee.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Suzanne L. Scogin of Jackson; two sons, Mark Andrew (Gaynor) Scogin of Tuscaloosa and Ronald Lake (Ann) Scogin of Jackson; a daughter, Wendy Suzanne (Roger) Nelson of Jackson; sister, Sherrie (Neil) Perkins of Dallas, Texas; and seven grandchildren.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Jackson, P.O. Box 355, Jackson, AL 36545.
