JHS football players read to students

Jackson Intermediate School and the Jackson High School Aggie Football Team have teamed up for a reading program “Aggie Reading Buddies.” Twenty-three members of the Aggies have been paired with 23 homerooms at JIS, grades 3-5. They recently came to the school and read, then the students were given the opportunity to ask the players questions. A mini-homecoming pep rally for the entire school was given by the varsity cheerleaders afterward in the school cafeteria. The team plans on visiting the school to read once a month. Judd Mullinix, a senior captain, is shown with Mrs. Nancye Wilhelm’s 5th grade class.
