Jackson man charged with kidnapping ex-girlfriend



A Jackson man was arrested Monday for the kidnapping of a 17-year-old girl in August.


Stephen Wesley Criswell, 21, was charged with kidnapping, first degree. He was arrested by Officer Lem DuBose of the Jackson Police Department.


Criswell allegedly kidnapped his ex-girlfriend and assaulted her while she was in his custody.


Criswell’s bond was set at $5,000.

James Sylvester Myles, 30, burglary, third degree, $7,500 bond, arrested by Clarke County Sheriff’s Dept.;


Patsy Lynn Reed, 39, five counts bad checks, $2,500 bond, arrested by Clarke County Sheriff’s Dept.;


Christopher Rivers, 30, improper tag, reckless driving, DUI, $2,500 bond, arrested by Thomasville Police Dept.;


Jason Rogers, 20, possession of forged instrument, second degree, $7,500 bond, arrested by Grove Hill Police Dept.;


Linda Grace Upshaw, 51, domestic violence, third degree, $500 bond, arrested by Grove Hill Police Dept.;


Gary Wayne Walker, 52, probation revocation, $1,000 bond, arrested by Clarke County Sheriff’s Dept.;


James Bernard White, 35, bad checks, $2,500 bond, arrested by Clarke County Sheriff’s Dept.;


Willie James Wilson, 51, driving with suspended license, arrested by Alabama State Troopers.
