Frank DuBose Jr., 48, of Jackson was arrested for the June 5 theft of an automobile from a residential garage on Hayeswood Drive.
According to Jackson Police reports, the garage owner, who originally thought the owner of the vehicle had picked it up, learned of the theft after DuBose was involved in a traffic accident in Mobile County.
DuBose was charged with first degree theft of property and is being held in the Clarke County Jail on a $10,000 bond.
The Jackson Police Depart-ment reported the following activities for the week ending June 11.
Theft
Forgery was reported from First United Security Bank and a counterfeited object was reported as passed from the 1300 block of Meadowbrook Lane on June 6.
On June 7 criminal mischief was reported from the 3500 block of College Avenue and auto theft was reported from the 500 block of Pearl Street.
Burglary was reported from the 6700 block of Highway 43 on June 10 and a simple assault from the 200 block of Jones Drive was reported on June 11.

•Two-vehicle accident with one injury, June 5, on Highway 69 and Crestwood.
•Two-vehicle accident without injuries, June 6, Highway 43 near Parker Street.
•Single-vehicle accident without injuries, June 8, in the parking lot of First United Security Bank.
•Two-vehicle accident without injuries, June 8, on Highway 69 near McKee Drive.
•Single-vehicle accident without injuries, June 9, in the parking lot at Hospital Drive.
•Two-vehicle accident with one injury, June 10, on Industrial Road near Hayswood Drive.
