A Grove Hill man has been indicted for murder in a shooting death in May.
The recent Clarke County grand jury indicted Lawaun Belvince Hill Jr. for the murder of Quarwon Na’Eem Pendleton of Grove Hill on May 11.
The shooting happened at a residence on Ezell Street near Wilson Hall Middle School where a group of men had gathered. An argument between Hill and Pendleton resulted in the shooting. Hill initially fled the scene but later turned himself in to law enforcement officials, according to the indictment.
Other indictments include:

• Charles Frederick Crawford, possession of marijuana first degree; resisting arrest; attempting to elude.
• Dakota Joe Crawford, burglary first degree.
• Brenda Rochelle Curry, possession/receipt of a controlled substance; use/ possession of drug paraphernalia.
• James Christopher Curry, possession/receipt of a controlled substance; use/possession of drug paraphernalia.
