Floyd Moody Jr.

Floyd Moody Jr., a resident of Coffeeville, answered the Master’s call, Dec. 8, 2022 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Fla. He was born Aug. 30, 1945 to the late Eliviria Scott-Moody and Floyd Moody Sr. of Gaston, N.C. He attended school in the Gaston, N.C., school system. Floyd was a faithful member at Cedar Point Baptist Church in Coffeeville. He was an electrical engineer until his retirement.

Floyd was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Arnell (David) Fenwick, Ruth Reed, Blondie (Dock) Jones, Gloria Jeanette (Leroy) McCloud, Edna Moody and Helena (BT) Garne; brothers, Ben (Wilma) Moody, Charles (Jerline) Moody and William Ray (Nita) Moody.

Left to cherish his memories is his loving wife of 51 years, Brenda Moody; adopted son, Anthony Gordon (Sharon) Moody; with a host of other relatives and friends. We take comfort in knowing he’s in the Lord’s presence.

A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, Dec. 17, 11 a.m., at Cedar Point Baptist Church, 574 W Bend Road, Coffeeville, AL 36524.

Final life celebration has been entrusted to Jackson Memorial Funeral Home.
