Ella Reynolds Powell

Ella Rea Reynolds Powell was born Jan. 5, 1928 and died April 28, 2022. She was a native of Washington County and had been a resident of Spanish Fort since 1964. Ella retired from AT&T as a floor supervisor.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Joe M. Powell; parents, Samuel J. Reynolds and Lucy Loper Reynolds; brothers, George Willis, Milton S. “Mack” and John P. “J.P” Reynolds; and a sister, Annie V. Reynolds.

Ella is survived by daughters, Shirley (Preston Arnold) McDonald of Hixson, Tenn., and Belinda (Celia) Powell of Saraland; two grandchildren, Angela McDonald (Kenneth) Larrimore and Michael (Cindy) McDonald; three greatgrandchildren, Whitney Larrimore (Kyle) Reeves, Trey Larrimore and Alex McDonald; two great-greatgrandchildren, Madison and Hadley Reeves; with numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

She was a member of Three Forks Baptist Church in Bigbee. Visitation was Saturday, April 30, from 10:30 until 11 a.m, at Three Forks Baptist Church. The funeral service followed at 11 a.m., with Bro. Bob Dean officiating and St. Stephens Funeral Home directing. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the cemetery fund of Three Forks Baptist Church or any charity of your choice.
