Jackson A.O.H.

hosting revival

The Jackson A.O.H. Church of God are conducting revival services through Friday, Nov. 5, at 7 nightly. There is a different speaker each night.

Events will climax on Sunday, Nov. 7 at 3:30 p.m. with Bishop George W. Ayers as the guest speaker. All churches in the area are encouraged to attend.

Fall sale continues at

Caring Hearts Center

The fall sale is continuing through Nov. 5, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m., with extended hours today, Thursday, until 6. All clothing is 50 percent off, books are three for $1, and children’s books are 10 cents each.

‘Southern Image’ and

‘Singing Chaplain’

to perform at benefit

On Saturday, Nov. 6, 6:30 p.m., Stave Creek Baptist Church in Jackson will host a benefit singing featuring Southern Image and the “Singing Chaplain”, Bro. Glenn Taylor of Providence Hospital in Mobile.

The benefit will be for a former interim music minister who is dealing with health concerns.

St. Peter’s yard sale

St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Jackson will conduct a big yard sale Saturday, Nov. 6, from 8 a.m. until 12 noon, at Stewart Buick on College Avenue in Jackson.

Heavenly Voices

celebrating second year

The Heavenly Voices will celebrate their second anniversary on Saturday, Nov. 6, at the Goodstone AME Zion Church beginning at 6 p.m. The Rev. James Maghee Jr. will bring the message.

Events will climax on Sunday, Nov. 7, at the Bladon Springs Association building. The Rev. Clayton Davis Jr. will bring the word.

Goodwill Missionary
celebrating 109 years

of ministry

The Rev. Robert L. Jackson, pastor of Goodwill Missionary Baptist Church in Bladon Springs, invites all to their 109th church anniversary on Sunday Nov. 7 at 3 p.m. Guest speaker and special guests will be Pastor Charlie York and the choir and congregation of High Point Baptist Church in Eight Mile.

36th anniversary at

New Union Missionary

The New Union Missionary Baptist Church of Coffeeville will be celebrating their 36th church anniversary Sunday, Nov. 7, at 2:30 p.m. The Rev. Derrick Powell and the congregation of Good Hope Baptist Church will be the special guests.

The Church of Christ, Highway 84 in Coffeeville, will be hosting a gospel meeting on Sunday, Nov. 7, beginning with Bible study at 10 a.m. and worship at 11. Lunch will be provided from 12:30 until 1:45 p.m.

Guest Speaker Carl White of Jackson will bring the 2 p.m. message. The gospel meetings will continue Monday, Nov. 8, through Thursday, Nov. 11, at 7 nightly.

Associate Minister the Rev. Bobby Harmon of Independent Missionary Baptist Church in Sweet Water will be the guest speaker Sunday, Nov. 14, 11 a.m. at Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church in the Salitpa community. The congregation will be celebrating their annual Family and Friends Day.

St. James AME Church in Choctaw Bluff will celebrate its 99th anniversary on Sunday, Nov. 21 at 2:30 p.m. The Rev. Roderick Scott, pastor of True Vine Baptist Church in Dickinson, will be the guest speaker.

Pastor Clausell Boykin, pastor, invites everyone to attend.

Choir Day at
Greater New Hope AME

All choirs, soloists and groups are invited to magnify the Lord together Sunday, Nov. 21, said the Rev. Ivory James, pastor of Greater New Hope A.M.E. Church in Millry.

Guest speaker will be the Rev. Cornelius Mc- Donald, pastor of John the Baptist Church in Barnett, Miss., at 2:30 p.m.

Annual Men’s Day

at New Canaan

New Canaan Missionary Baptist Church will host their annual Men’s Day program Sunday, Nov. 21 at 2:30 p.m. Guest speaker will be the Rev. Amos Smith, pastor of Antioch A.M.E. Church in Alma. Pastor Hurley James has invited everyone to attend.
