Christopher Caine Yocum

Christopher Caine Yocum passed away at his job Friday, March 4, 2022. He was born in Mobile Oct. 9, 1977 and is a native of Howardtown. He has lived in Illinois several years. He was a 1996 graduate of Washington County High School. Christopher was an avid reader. During his younger years and high school years he enjoyed volunteering at The Helping Hands (thrift store) and helping his grandpa at the Chatom Airport.

Survivors include the love of his life, Michelle Glines; his children, Alexis (Donald), Isaiah, Lyberti and Ryver; stepdaughter, Sierra (Dustin) Hume; granddaughter, Nova; his mother, Lynn Yocum; sister, Michelle (Naman) Taylor; brother, James G. Yocum; grandmother, Joyce Yocum; stepgrandmother, Nelda Gardner; aunt, Julie Yocum; uncles, Allen (Sherry) Gardner and Aaron (Anna Leigh) Gardner; with many other relatives and friends.

Preceding him in death were his father, James L. Yocum Jr.; grandfather, James L. Yocum; grandparents, Glen Gardner and Inez Gardner; and his uncle, Andrew Gardner.

There will be a memorial service at Tibbie Baptist Church, 160 Tibbie Church Road in Tibbie, Saturday, March 26. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the 12 p.m. service, with Bro. Woody Baughn officiating and St. Stephens Funeral Home directing.
