Butler man dies in two-vehicle wreck in Choctaw Dec. 22

A two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 7:20 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 22, claimed the life of a Butler man. Trevor C. May, 24, was fatally injured when the 2015 Toyota Camry he was driving collided head-on with the 2020 Ford Fusion driven by Jamarcus E. Marshall, 26, also of Butler.

May was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Marshall was transported to Rush Hospital in Meridian, Miss. for medical treatment.

The crash occurred on Choctaw County Route 9, approximately one mile north of Lisman, in Choctaw County.

Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division investigated.
