BASF joined the University of South Alabama’s Go Explore Math and Science (GEMS) conference, where employee volunteers encouraged children to pursue math and science career paths at their Kids’ Lab sessions. Employee volunteers led chemistry experiments where the GEMS participants made lotion and slime products. The event exposed children to various science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education concepts as well as real-world career opportunities.
