Ashley LouElla Ready, was born on Jan. 4, 1985 to parents, Bruce Hayward Parnell and Darlene Ready-Coffey. She was a native of Mobile, but resided in St. Stephens. She went to be with our Lord on Aug. 18, 2023.

Ashley loved country and soul music, riding horses, and was an altogether animal lover. She would always bring her nephew random animals for his birthday every year. She loved reading and writing poems. She also loved calling you out on your bad grammar. She was known to her family and friends as the “Grammar Nazi.” She loved her family more than anything and was loved so very much by her family as well.

Ashley and her brothers had a special bond. They always had inside jokes between the three of them. Tod and Dusty told her that they found her in a ditch and brought her home. They said it took them three weeks to convince their mom to keep her, only after promising to keep her well fed and taken care of. They never missed a moment to remind her either. Ashley had a great sense of humor and a huge heart. She loved with all she had, especially her family.

Ashley is survived by her mother, Darlene Ready-Coffey; her children, Ella Nolan, Emileigh Coker and Zachary Mitchell; brothers, Todd (Tara) Ready and Dustin (Julia) Parnell; and her sister, Tina (Tony) Parnell-Orso.

Ashley is preceded in death by her father, Bruce Hayward; her stepfather, Bill Coffey; grandparents, Nellon and Bruce Parnell, and Orrabell and William Ready.

Ashley’s visitation and service were Saturday, Aug. 26, at Sunflower Independent Church in Sunflower. Interment followed at the Clearwater Cemetery in Wagarville, with Bro. Dallas Sullivan officiating and St. Stephens Funeral Home directing.
