ADECA visit

Kenneth Boswell, director of the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs (ADECA), is shown with Jackson Mayor Paul South at city hall Tuesday. Boswell, a member of Gov. Kay Ivey’s cabinet, was in town to review several grants the city has received for various projects. ADECA manages a budget of more than $165 million and administers grants issued to city and county governments and nonprofit organizations throughout the state. Boswell is very familiar with city government, having served as the mayor of Enterprise before he was appointed ADECA director.
