These lovely and talented young ladies are actually male students at Jackson High School who were named finalists in a beauty contest held to raise money for the Searcy Chapel Fund. From a field of 15 contestants, mostly football players, the fin al ists were, fro m lef t, Rober t Davis, Geary Willi ams, Roy James (to p beauty), Michael Finch and Stafford Henry.
Four exemplary students were chosen for the title of Mr. and Miss Jackson High School. They are Michael Finch, Mitzi Morton, Sandra Dean and Michael Wimberly. Requirements for this honor are an 80 average in all subjects for three years.
These ladies are some of the many members and friends of the Jackson Arts and Crafts Association who will spread their wares at the annual show of the group. Many of the items shown will be offered for sale. The ladies pictured are, from left, Miss Lucy McVay, Mrs. Howard Melton and Miss Vicki Brown.
Gray Morrison and Suzanne Harrison recently were elected Mr. and Miss Jackson Academy. Seniors who maintainedatleastaBaverageintheirfinalfouryears were eligible for the honor, with the final selection determined by popular vote of the students.
