Alzheimer’s walk triples 2013 totals




The beautiful weather for Saturday’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s was overshadowed only by the event’s final tally. When all the numbers were in, the fund-raising campaign raised $24,415, shattering last year’s total of about $7,500 and this year’s $10,000 goal. Glendean Beasley, 65, died Oct. 17, 2014 at Pine View Health Care Center, Waynesboro, Miss. She was a native of Alabama but resided in Mississippi. Mrs. Glendean is survived by one daughter, Lula Mae Beasley. A memorial service was held Oct. 28, at Sand Ridge Church of God in Millry.
