Bids for Jackson bridge to be let this month




The Clarke County Commission approved paying a $5,126.25 invoice from Goodwyn, Mills and Cawood for the County Road 15 road and bridge project in Jackson at its Tuesday meeting. The county will be reimbursed by the Alabama Department of Transportation, said county engineer Danny Overton. Bids for the $6 to $7 million project should be let July 26, he said. […]

Jackson council OKs airport improvements



The Jackson City Council approved funding for improvements to the Jackson Municipal Airport. The council approved the lowest bid of $599,145.30 submitted by McKenneth Contruction of Montgomery to complete work on a total project cost of $900,000.
