Aspokesman for the Jackson Volunteer Fire Department said several solicitations have been received from political candidates to appear in the Oct. 11 Fire Prevention Parade. He stated that it is the policy of the fire department that no political solicitations of any kind be allowed in the parade because the department does not endorse particular candidates.
