Jimmy Duane “Possum” Howard was born Sept. 25, 2004 and passed away July 15, 2012 in Mobile County. He was 7 years of age. He was a student at Leroy Elementary School.

Survivors include his mother, Sandra Howard of Wagarville; father, Duane (Angela) Howard of Howardtown; three sisters, Jessica (Jack) Overcashier of Gulfport, Miss., Christina Powell of Wagarville and Erica (TJ) Hilton of Monroeville; and grandparents, Robert Lee (Sandra) Howard of Howardtown.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Linda and Jimmy Wilkins and Jonaleen Howard.

Funeral services were July 18 at Wagarville Holiness Church with the Rev. David Goldman officiating. Interment was at the Ebenezer Methodist Cemetery in Wagarville under the direction of St. Stephens Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Johnny Smith, Gary Turner, Channing Powell and TJ Hilton. Honorary pallbearers included Eric Randall, Jerimiah Busby and his best friend, Peyton Weaver.
