Burglary suspect applies for job at business he’s accused of stealing from
A Calvert man was arrested Tuesday, July 10 and charged with the June 11 burglary of a Jackson business.
According to Jackson Police Chief Charles Burge, Frankie Lee Toole, 26, is charged with third degree burglary and accused of stealing copper wire from Clarke- Washington Heating and Air located on Jemison Street.
Burge said Toole was observed by an employee on June 11 leaving the warehouse of the business in a white Chevrolet Impala with damage to the front end. Tuesday, around noon, Sgt. Dexter Hunt was on patrol and observed a vehicle fitting that description near the intersection of U.S. Highway 43 and Walker Springs Road.
Hunt followed the vehicle and observed Toole park at Clarke-Washington Heating and Air and walk inside, where he had gone to apply for a job.
The clerk working inside recognized Toole as the person she saw leaving the area of the warehouse on June 11 and contacted police, who were waiting to take him into custody as he exited.
