Combined choir’s from Forest Avenue and First Baptist churches performed “I Love This Land” a patriotic musical celebration, Saturday and Sunday at both churches as well as the Fairhope Baptist Church in Chatom.

Jameson Willis was guest soloist singing the National Anthem, Lee Greenwood’s God Bless the USA, I’ve got Joy by The Talley’s and other selections.

His parents, April and Jamey Willis and 9-year-old brother, Grayson, accompanied him to Jackson.

Grayson said that his dream is “to play in the Major League Baseball World Series and have my brother sing the National Anthem.”

Area veterans were recognized at the performances.

Organizers of the event expressed thanks to Bobby Brooks, Tommy Smith, April Jones, Jason Jones and Chad Beech for their help with the sound and video.
