Ronald Kevin Alford Jr., age 17, was born Oct. 25, 1994 and died June 19, 2012 at his Grove Hill residence. He was a member of Calvary Independent Baptist Church and attended Jackson High School.

Survivors include his fiancée, Katelyn Courington; parents, Jami and Kevin Alford, all of Grove Hill; sisters, Katelyn Alford of Grove Hill and Katie Anderson of Gainestown; grandmothers, Eunice Singleton and Ann Holton; uncles, aunts, cousins and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his mother; Delois Alford and grandfathers, Elbert Alford and Louis Holton.

Funeral services were June 22 at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson with the Rev. Jeremy Smith officiating. Interment followed in the West Bend Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Destin Price, Michael Weaver, Jeremy Jones, Bobby Jones, Kayne Deas and Cole Alford. Honorary pallbearers included Travis Overstreet, Carl Alford, Travis Perry, Braxton Paul and Kent Alford.
