Nonie Grey Williams passed away May 26, 2012 at her Jackson home at the age of 83. She was born Jan. 23, 1929 in Carson.

A retired nurse’s aide with Jackson Health Care Facility and a private sitter, Mrs. Williams attended Leroy Baptist Church and was a member of Forest Avenue Baptist Church of Jackson. She was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother.

Survivors include four sons, Miles E. (Patricia) Williams Jr. and Ronnie D. Williams, both of Jackson, Stephen L. (Michelle) Williams of St. Stephens and Kenneth G. (Nancy) Williams of Deatsville; one daughter, Kitty L. (Bobby) Blackledge of St. Stephens; three brothers, L.A. Walker Jr., George Walker and Fred Walker, all of Leroy; two sisters, Jean Bonneau of Jackson and Kitty White of Saraland; 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Archie and Riller M. Walker; brothers, A.M. Walker and Roy Walker; and sisters, Dorothy Dearman and Katie Everheart.

Funeral services were May 30 at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson followed by interment in the Old Leroy Baptist Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Ray Rotch Jr., Greg Rotch, Lamar White, Larry Walker, Bill Walker and Harold Everheart.
