Carl Benton Kennedy

Carl Benton Kennedy, age 62, died Jan. 11, 2012 in Madison, Wis. Mr. Kennedy was a native of Houston, Texas and a resident of Reedsburg, Wis. in Saulk County. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving his country in Vietnam. Free spirited and loving to travel, he worked as a taxi cab driving in a variety of locations.

Survivors include one son, Cameron Crawford of Reedsburg; one daughter, Melinda Foster of Grove Hill; two brothers, Andy (Phyllis) Kennedy of Jackson and Rodney (Patty) Woodham of Samantha; three sisters, Melanie (Sammy) Wallace of Leroy, and Patti Stifflemire and Melissa Woodham, both of Jackson; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Novalene Woodham and Carl William Kennedy, respectively, and stepfather, Edward “Shug” Woodham.

A graveside service was Jan. 14 at the Winn Community Cemetery with the Rev. James Watkins officiating and under the direction of St. Stephens Funeral Home of St. Stephens.

Pallbearers were Thomas Pyles, Bubba Blackmon, Buster Blackmon, Brian Woodham, Wesley Woodham, Ronnie Wallace and AJ Kennedy.
