Mrs. Ginger Glendyne Parnell, age 74, a native and resident of Sims Chapel passed away Nov. 13, 2011 at her residence.

She retired from Olin Corporation and was a member of Sims Chapel United Methodist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Powell Bates and Gladys Odom Johnston.

She is survived by her husband, Harmon Parnell; two daughters, Ginger R. Parnell and Janea P. (Dr. John F.) Delmas; two sisters, Ruby Lee Smith and Audrey (Davis) Henson; two grandchildren, Daniel Harmon Delmas and Victoria Lynn Delmas.

Funeral services were Wednesday, Nov. 16, at Sims Chapel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Denny McDavid officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery under the direction of Freeman Funeral Home in Citronelle.
