Cleveland W. McCorkel Jr., age 64, was born Sept. 26, 1946 and passed away July 29, 2011 at Providence Hospital in Mobile. He was a self-employed cabinet maker and attended Stave Creek Baptist Church in Jackson.

Survivors include his wife, Susan McCorkel of Jackson; four sons, Cleveland “Corky” (Chantel) Mc- Corkel III, Chad (Jamie) McCorkel, Casey (Debra) McCorkel and Clint “CoCoa” (Kelli) McCorkel, all of Houma, La.; daughter, Candy (Tim) Wilson of Jackson; two brothers, Calvin McCorkel and James McCorkel, both of Houma; three sisters, Ann Trotter, Cookie McCorkel and Maggie Galliano, all of Houma; 17 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, Aug. 5, 1:30 p.m., at the First Baptist Church of Houma. Arrangements are being directed by Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson.
