Arvin Todd Sr. died April 27, 2011 at Jersey City Medical Center in New Jersey. A native of Toddtown and resident of Jersey City, N.J., Mr. Todd was a former member of Pine Chapel No. 2 Baptist Church prior to moving.

He was employed as a chemical operator for a dye specialist company.

Survivors include his son and daughter, Arvin Todd Jr. of Linden and Shirley Dennard of Jersey City; brother, L.V. Todd of East Orange, N.J.; sister, Mary Todd Williamson of Toddtown; loving companion, Quinell Bright-Todd of Jersey City; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be Saturday, May 7, 11 a.m., at Pine Chapel No. 2 Baptist Church in Toddtown with the Rev. Dewayne Stallworth, pastor, and Elder Robert Smith as officiating minister. Viewing will be from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour. Interment will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Jackson Memorial Funeral Home of Jackson.
