Benjamin Broadus Elmore

Benjamin Broadus Elmore, a native and resident of Frankville, died at 80 years of age on Jan. 13, 2011. He was a welder for Brown and Root Construction Company.

Mr. Elmore was a member of the New Hope United Methodist Church congregation in Frankville.

He is survived by his wife, Juanita H. Elmore of Frankville; four sons, Billy Roy Elmore of Dixons Mills, Charles Edward Elmore of Frankville, Clyde Glen Elmore of Chilton and Frankie Lee Elmore of Jackson; daughter, Rebecca Jean Elmore Dearmon of Chatom; four brothers, Willie Frank Elmore and Jimmy Elmore, both of Frankville, Walter Ray Elmore of Millry and John David Elmore of Christianburg, Va.; three sisters, Mabel Wynn and Kathleen Henson, both of Frankville and Audrey Moss of Chunchula; and six grandchildren, Denise Morrison, Ethan Elmore, Anna Elmore, Jamie Dearmon, Phillip Elmore and Sally Anna Sylveria.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Lina Mae and Frank Elmore; and brother and sister, Jack Elmore and Ella Henson, respectively.

Funeral services were Jan. 16 at New Hope United Methodist Church in Frankville with the Rev. Nadine Brewster Walters officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery under the direction of Lathan Funeral Homes of Chatom.
