Mrs. Willie Rean Jackson
Mrs. Willie Rean Jackson, 65, a native and resident of Gainestown, died Aug. 16, 2010 at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Leo Washington Sr. and Hettie Lou Fox Washington. Mrs. Jackson was a member of the Antioch African Methodist Episcopal Church and a homemaker.
Survivors include six devoted children, Mary Lou (Curtis) Singleton, Wilson Lee Jackson, Lee Anne Jackson, Ilka Marlene Jackson, Janain Jackson and Rick James (Julia) Jackson, all of Gainestown; two devoted stepchildren, Evette Williams and Robert T. Williams; nine grandchildren; three devoted sisters, Ida (Bennie) Jackson, Callie (Clarence) Robinson and Rosie (Tecolian) Fox, all of Gainestown; three devoted brothers, Leo (Ethel) Washington, Eligha (Thelma) Washington and David (Oldester) Washington; devoted god-child, Diana Robinson, devoted niece, Shaneka Leggett, several devoted friends and other relatives.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Aug. 21, 3 p.m., at Antioch AME Church in Gainestown with the Rev. Amos Smith, pastor and officiating minister. Viewing will be from 2 p.m. until the service hour at 3. Interment will be in the Antioch Cemetery under the direction of Andrews Funeral Home in Jackson.
