Jimmy Lee Pugh, born on March 30, 1937, died March 29, 2010 at Mobile Infirmary Hospital in Mobile. His parents, Mattie and Charlie Pugh and one brother, Johnny Lee Pugh, preceded him in death.

Mr. Pugh’s survivors include his devoted and loving wife, Velniece Pugh of Toddtown; one daughter, Jimmie Lou (Tom) Phillips of Anchorage, Alaska; one granddaughter, Nicole Ware of Pensacola, Fla.; three brothers, Richard (Dorothy) Pugh of Newark, Calif., Rivers Pugh of Richmond, Calif., and Charlie (Cindy) Pugh of Huntsville; five sisters, Claretta James, Geraldine (Joe) Merida, Alzaline (Herbert) Grayson, Emma (James) Fenderson and Nellie (Hubert) Finch, all of Toddtown; two brothers-in-law, Burris (Patricia) Thomas of Baytown, Texas and Gerald (Ramona) Williams of Wynn; one sister-in-law, Zelda (Norman) Armstead of Wynn; three godchildren, Shannon Merida, Mackaylellara Thomas and Ashayla Thomas; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Friday, April 2, 1 p.m. at Pine Chapel Baptist Church No. 2 of Toddtown with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Jackson Memorial Funeral Home of Jackson.
