Lillie Orso Hodge
Lillie Nell Orso Hodge, 70, died at Washington County Nursing Home on Feb. 15, 2010. She was a native and resident of McIntosh. A homemaker who loved to sew, she raised a vegetable garden and worked in her flower garden as well. She was a devoted Christian who loved God.
Survivors include two daughters, April (Jade) Taylor of Seaboard and Carrie Hodge of Mobile; four sons, Gary Hodge, George (Brenda) Hodge, Graylin (Paula) Hodge and Glenn (Amy) Hodge, all of McIntosh; two sisters, Willie Mae Reed and Tollie Bell Reed, both of McIntosh.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Preston Lee Hodge; one daughter, Tollie Bell Hodge; parents, Dellphine and Harm Orso; brothers, Douger Orso, Charlie Lawrence Orso, Pelham Orso, Clarence (IV) Orso and McKesson Orso; and sister, Bessie Weaver.
Visitation is today, Thursday, Feb. 18, 6-10 p.m. at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in McIntosh. Funeral services will be Friday, Feb. 19, 2 p.m., at Reeds Chapel in McIntosh, followed by interment in the church cemetery, under the direction of St. Stephens Funeral Home in St. Stephens. Officiating will be the Rev. Bennett Weaver.
Pallbearers will be Gary Hodge Jr., Benjie Covington Jr., Thomas Covington, Graylin Hodge Jr., Mickey Lofton Jr. and David Hodge. Honorary pallbearers will include Gary Hodge, George Hodge, Graylin Hodge and Glenn Hodge.
