Preston Lee Hodge

Preston Lee “PL” Hodge, a native and resident of McIntosh, died Jan. 12, 2010 at Mobile Infirmary in Mobile, at 75 years of age. He was a construction worker and loved to hunt.

Survivors include his spouse, Joyce Hodge of Citronelle; two daughters, April (Jade) Taylor of Seaboard and Carrie Hodge of Mobile; four sons, Garry Hodge, George (Brenda) Hodge, Graylin (Paula) Hodge and Glenn (Amy) Hodge, all of McIntosh; two sisters, Christine (Aaron) McDuffie and Carol Jane (Norman) Johnston, both of Mobile; three brothers, Tommy (Helen Kay) Hodge and Chester (Judy) Hodge, both of Mobile and Henry (Nola Gay) Hodge of Charity Chapel; 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; and a wife of 38 years, Lillie Hodge of McIntosh.

He was preceded in death by parents, Ida Mae and Chester Lee Hodge; brother, David Hodge; and infant daughter, Tollie Bell Hodge.

Visitation is today, Thursday, Jan. 14, 12 p.m. until the 2 o’clock funeral hour at Reeds Chapel in McIntosh. Interment follows in the church cemetery under the direction of St. Stephens Funeral Home in St. Stephens. The Rev. Bennett Weaver will be officiating.

Pallbearers are Preston Parnell, Graylin Hodge, Graylin Hodge Jr., Jade Taylor, Thomas Covington and Henry Hodge Jr. Honorary pallbearers include Gary Hodge, George Hodge and Glenn Hodge.
