RCIA classes to begin
at Sacred Heart
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) are classes for both Catholics and non- Catholics who desire a deeper understanding of the Catholic Church. Fr. Pat Madden, pastor of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Grove Hill, said, "A desire to understand what the Catholic Church teaches and why is the only prerequisite for participation. We welcome all."
Classes are currently scheduled for Monday, Oct. 5 and Monday, Nov. 9, 6 p.m. in the fellowship hall of Sacred Heart Church.

Berry's Chapel AME
continues revival
Pastor Edward Seabron of Berry's Chapel AME Zion Church in Jackson encourages all to take part in the church's ongoing revival that concludes Friday, Sept. 18 at 7 nightly. The Rev. Clifford Mitchell, pastor of the First Church of God in Mt. Vernon, is the evangelist.

The Devine Sisters of Faith will celebrate their third anniversary Saturday, Sept. 19, 6:30 p.m., at the St. Union Baptist Church in Jackson. The Rev. James Howard is the senior pastor.

Grace Chapel Church in Coffeeville will host a congregational singing on Saturday, Sept. 19 at 6:30 p.m. Donald Jackson will lead the singing.

Escatawpa Baptist
For an evening of gospel music, food, fun and fellowship, the congregation of Escatawpa Baptist Church invites all to join them on Sept. 19 beginning at 5 p.m.
Singers will include Debbie and Jim Roberts of Hobson, The Browns of Fruitdale, The Harmony Trio of Laurel, Miss. and Anne James of Laton Hill.
All are encouraged to bring lawn chairs for an evening outside. In case of rain events will move inside. A love offering will be taken. The Deer Park and Fruitdale Relay for Life Teams will sell concessions.
Directions to the church are: Going south on 45 to County Road 20 in Four Points, turn right, go two miles and turn right on first paved road. Going north on 45 to County Road 20 in Four Points, turn left, go two miles and turn right on first paved road.

Old-fashioned homecoming and revival
at Mt. Olive No. 1
The Mt. Olive No. 1 Baptist Church will be celebrating an old-fashioned homecoming and revival services beginning Sept. 20. Homecoming will be at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Earl Jackson of Full Gospel Apostolic Church of God of St. Stephens as the guest speaker.
Revival services will be Sept. 21-24 at 7 nightly. The Rev. Brian Chapman of Vernal Chapel Baptist Church will be the evangelist for Monday and Tuesday nights. Minister Pete Crayton will be the evangelist for Wednesday and Thursday nights.

Zion Branch announces
homecoming / revival
The Zion Branch Baptist Church in Gosport will be hosting its annual homecoming on Sunday, Sept. 20, at 12 noon. Guest speaker will be Minister Woody Bullard, a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Claiborne.
Revival services will begin on Monday, Sept. 21, and continue through Friday, Sept. 25, at 7:30 nightly. The evangelist for the week will be the Rev. Bobby Young, pastor of Green Grove Baptist Church in Mobile.

Rocky Mt. Baptist Church will host love
program
A love program, hosted by the congregation of Rocky Mt. Baptist Church in Barlow Bend, will be presented Saturday, Sept. 26 at 6:30 p.m. The program is being conducted to assist James Jackson, who is in need of a kidney transplant. The Rev. King David Jackson, pastor, requests all soloists, choirs and groups come and support this program.

Pastor Bobby White, the officers and members of the St. Luke Baptist Church of Walker Springs invite the community to their annual homecoming and revival services beginning Sunday, Sept. 27 at 12 noon.
Minister Dwight Smith, minister of High Point Baptist Church in Mobile, will deliver the message on Sunday. Revival services will begin nightly at 7, Monday, Sept. 28 through Thursday, Oct. 1. The evangelist for the week will be the Rev. Hurley James, pastor of the New Canaan Baptist Church of Choctaw Bluff and St. Paul Baptist Church of Salitpa.

Lewis Grove Baptist
Lewis Grove Baptist Church in Wagarville's annual homecoming and revival services will begin with Sunday School at 10 a.m., Sunday, Sept. 27. There will be no 11:30 a.m. service.
The homecoming program will begin at 1 p.m. with a message from the Rev. Richard J. Pogue of Oakridge Baptist Church in Albany, Ga.
Revival services will be Monday through Wednesday, Sept. 28-30, at 7 nightly. The Rev. Clausell Boykin of St. James A.M.E. Church of Choctaw Bluff will be the evangelist for the week.
