Registrations being accepted for 'Race to the Park'
"Race to the Park" is a benefit 5K run, 2-mile walk and 1- mile fun run for kids ages 7-13 supporting the Millry Walking Trail project. This event will be Saturday, Oct. 3, 8 a.m., beginning at Millry Town Hall.
Pre-registration will be accepted Aug. 24-Sept. 25, at $20 per person. Fees the day of the event will be $25 with kids age 13 and under at $15. This fee includes a T-shirt. Forms can be picked up at the Millry Town Hall, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Parden Family Reunion
The Parden Family reunion will be Saturday, Sept. 5 at the Bethel Baptist Church Fellowship Hall in Coffeeville.
Coffee with Sylvia at WashCo Library
The Women's Business Center, Inc. will present Coffee with Sylvia "Boost Your Business Cents: Three Foolproof Ways to Master Your Company's Finances." Actionable financial plans for women business owners will be the focus at the Washington County Library, 14102 St. Stevens Ave., Chatom.
This free event will be Wednesday, Sept. 9, from 10-11 a.m. One-to-one counseling sessions will be offered from 12-2 p.m.

MHS Class of 1989 announces reunion
Millry High School Class of 1989 will celebrate their 20th class reunion Sept. 25 and 26. Friday, Sept. 25, alumni will gather at the MHS homecoming football game. Fried fish, hamburgers, hotdogs and cold drinks will be for sale by the Clarke County Branch of the NAACP on Saturday, Aug. 29, beginning at 11 a.m., at 261 Carter Drive in Grove Hill.

Jackson Academy will host a spaghetti dinner on Sept. 1, 5:30 - 7 p.m. Open house will be conducted during the hours of 6-8 p.m.
Alzheimer's / Caregivers will meet Sept. 1
"The spiritual well-being of the caregiver" will be the focus of the Tuesday, Sept. 1, 1 p.m. meeting of the Alzheimer's/Caregivers Support Group. The group will meet in the conference room of Grove Hill Memorial Hospital.
