Thomas Eric Brooks
Thomas Eric Brooks, a native and resident of Coffeeville, died June 23, 2009, at USA Medical Center in Mobile, at 61 years of age. A retired truck driver for T & P Trucking, he was a member of the Grace Chapel Church in Coffeeville and the Goco Coffee Club in Coffeeville.
Survivors include his wife, Paulette Brooks of Coffeeville; six sons, Greg (Petra) Autry and Johnny (Betty) Autry, both of Coffeeville, Craig (Minnie Sue) Alford, Carl (Patricia) Alford and Kevin (Delois) Alford, all of Jackson, and Kent (Beth) Alford of McIntosh; daughter, Sonja (Robert) Overstreet of Jackson; four sisters, Cindy Rankin of Panama City, Fla., Susie (Jim) Bardine of Virginia Beach, Va., Beverly (Bob) McKay of Windsor, Canada, and Patricia (Buck) Woodell of Grove Hill; 22 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were June 27 at New Faith Baptist Church in Coffeeville. Interment was in the Ulcanush Cemetery in Coffeeville under the direction of Lathan Funeral Home of Jackson.
Pallbearers were Travis Overstreet, Ronald Alford, Cole Alford, Jared Autry, Taylor Autry, Christopher Autry, Christopher Van Landingham, Jimmy Bardine and Reggie Newton. Honorary pallbearers included Ray Counselman, Grant Ellisor, Buddy Cotton, Johnny Bumpers, Keith Graham, Wayne Rascoe, Stanley Dunagan, Ronnie Craft, Julius Moss, Travis Glaze, Bobby Murphy and Bo Hodge.
