Dixon graduates cum laude from UA School of Medicine

A member of the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society, he was a recipient of the William R. Shamblin, M.D., Surgery Award, which is presented in recognition of academic excellence in surgery.
Graduating with a medical degree, Dixon is specializing in otolaryngology, head and neck surgery. He will be in residency for five years with the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Ky.
Dixon is an alumni of the Class of 2001 of Jackson Academy and majoring in biology and minoring in chemistry, graduated from the University of Alabama in 2004.
He is the grandson of Loucille and Hayward Dixon of Millry and the late Marjorie and John Stuckey.
