Youth painting
classes available
There are a few openings in the youth art classes "Oil Painting for Teens" by Johnna Bush, ages 13-18, July 27- 30. 5-8 p.m., at the Grove Hill Cultural Arts Center. Also, Children's Summer Art Camp, ages 6-12, Aug. 3-7, 9- 11:30 a.m., at Grove Hill United Methodist Church, instructed by a representative of the Mobile Museum of Art. Support Group meeting
"New Advances in Treatment of Alzheimer's" will be the subject of the July 7, 1 p.m. meeting of the Alzheimer's/Caregivers Support Group. The group will meet in the conference room at the Grove Hill Memorial Hospital.

men's softball tourney
The Leroy Tip-Off Club is sponsoring a men's softball tournament Saturday, July 11, at New Era Park in Jackson. This event will be limited to 12 teams. For additional information and to register call 251-246-7467.
Social assistance on
Wednesdays at Salvation Army
The Salvation Army Social Service office is open on Wednesdays from 9-11 a.m. and 2-4 p.m. When in need of assistance with food and a variety of other needs, the office attempts to assist where they can. For additional information call 246-5693.
Narcotics Anonymous meeting
Narcotics Anonymous will be meeting Tuesdays at 5:30 p.m., First Presbyterian Church, 302 E. Church St., Jackson.
Alcoholics Anonymous meetings
Alcoholics Anonymous meetings are conducted in the fellowship hall of Visitation Catholic Church, West Clinton Street in Jackson Wednesdays, 6:30 p.m. and Saturdays, 9 a.m.
Diabetes Classes

Heart of Dixie Collectors Club
meets last Monday of month
The Heart of Dixie Collectors Club will meet the last Monday of every month at the Jackson Steakhouse at 7 p.m. in the meeting room. Collectors of all types are welcome in sharing their knowledge and collections.
