Stave Creek Baptist Church will celebrate its 150th anniversary Sunday, July 19, 2009. The morning worship service will begin at 10 a.m. for this special service. There will be no Sunday School this Sunday only. The Rev. Jamie Taylor will be guest speaker and the Rev. Bob Dean will lead the music.

Following the morning service there will be a covered-dish homecoming meal at the Jackson Intermediate School cafeteria. Historical documents and photos will be on display along with a special commemorative plate that will be available for purchase.

At 3 p.m., there will be an old time singing service at Stave Creek Baptist Church with special testimonies by the Rev. A.L. Courtney and the Rev. Wesley Braswell who surrendered to preach while a youth at Stave Creek Baptist Church.

All are encouraged to come and join in the celebration.
