Jacqueline Renee Crager, a native of Mississippi and resident of Laton Hill, died March 26, 2009 in Chatom at the age of 48. She spent much of her life assisting her father and husband in water well drilling and in later years as a caregiver.

Survivors include her husband, Douglas Crager of Laton Hill; daughter, Megan Renee Crager of Laton Hill; parents, Vivian and Robert J. Laton of Laton Hill; sister, Mary Ann (Dean) Thompson of Hobson; two brothers, Leon (Tracy) Laton of Tibbie and Elvin (Janet) Laton of Laton Hill.

Funeral services were at Laton Hill Baptist Church in Laton Hill with Bros. Leland James and Rob Jackson officiating. Interment was at the Laton Hill Cemetery with St. Stephens Funeral Home of St. Stephens directing.

Pallbearers were Bruce Davis, Keith James, Eric James, Brent Laton, Drew Reynolds, Ken Thompson, Gene Laton, Travis Loper, Will Chafin and Justin Gaston.

Honorary pallbearers were the Washington County High School Senior Class of 2009, John Laton Jr., Lloyd Laton, Don Laton, Martis Laton, Wayne Crager, Jim Overstreet, Danny Fondren, James "Bert" Hankins and Sammy Joe Laurie.
