Jackson Woman's Club conducts first luncheon

The Jackson Woman's Club conducted its first luncheon of 2008- 2009 on the back porch of Mater's Restaurant. Members were served a salad plate with crackers and dessert.

Samantha Middleton was the guest speaker for the event. Middleton, the second runner-up of Washington County Junior Miss, performed her Junior Miss skit in costume and in the persona of Scarlett addressing "A Southern belle's perspective on today's women." She also addressed her mentoring project, "Girl Talk", recently begun at Leroy High School.

President Martha Hayes conducted the business meeting. Hostesses were Debbie Bolton, Molly Parham, Helen Skipper and Maya Overstreet.
