William Edward Moore Sr.
William Edward Moore Sr. of Walker Springs died at his residence July 14, 2008 at the age of 77. He was a member of the St. Luke Baptist Church in Walker Springs, where he served as a deacon. Prior to relocating to the Walker Springs area he was a member of Greater Faith Missionary Baptist Church in Los Angeles, Calif. Moore was employed at Teledyne in California and Alabama as well as with the Clarke County Board of Education.
Survivors include one daughter, Carolyn Moore of Sacramento, Calif.; three sons, William (Kathy) Moore Jr. of Sacramento, Byron (Monica) Moore and Kieron Moore, both of Los Angeles; five grandchildren; one brother Earl (Carridale) Moore of Walker Springs; and one sister, Lois Nicholson, of Walker Springs.
Services were July 23 at the St. Luke Baptist Church with the Rev. Bobby White, pastor, officiating. Interment was in the Hotel Hill Cemetery in Walker Springs with Jackson Memorial Funeral Home directing.
