Renaissance ceremony unites Pulley - Sellers Pamela Jo Sellers and Jesse Dean Pulley, both of Mobile, exchanged wedding vows Feb. 8, 2008 at the Thorncrown Chapel in Eureka Springs, Ark. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Joseph E. Sellers of Jackson and Mr. and Mrs. Jesse W. Pulley of Mobile. The Renaissance style candle light ceremony was conducted at sunset. The chapel setting is 48 foot tall with solid glass over a wood frame adorned with 24 lighted cross lanterns. Boston ferns and gold and crystal table candelabras were placed on stone ledges that flanked the stairs leading up to the altar. An arch candelabra was centered on the altar with spiral candelabras on either side. The hand-carved unity candle featuring a Celtic cross was placed on the altar. White tapers were decorated with ivy and burgundy hypericum berries. The wedding party and bride, escorted by her father, entered to "November Rain". A Celtic version of "The Wedding Song" by Laura Creamer was played before the prayer and "Thank You" during the lighting of the unity candle. The recessional was "Never Tear Us Apart". The bride's gown was styled with a white crushed velvet Aline featuring a sweetheart neckline with a lace up front and the drop back, with a cathedral length train. The sleeves were fitted to the elbow, then flared to asymmetrical double ruffles which extended to to knee length. Baroque lace beaded with pearls, glass beads and rhinestones adorned the bodice, forming a ruffle which edged the train. French lace embroidered in off white with pearls, beads and rhinestones covered the front panel of the gown and bottom ruffle of the sleeves. A circlet head dress, matching necklace and earrings featuring pearl and crystal pieces, pearls and rhinestone rondelles completed the attire. Her cascading bouquet included black Bacarra, black magic and forever young roses with burgundy hypericum berries, black croton leaves and ivy. Maid of honor was Kimberly Sellers, sister of the bride of Denver, Colo. and the flower girl was Madison Lester, niece of the groom of Mobile. Candle lighters were Kristin Cronk and Christopher Cronk, niece and nephew of the bride respectively, both of Atlanta, Ga. Best man was Keith Montee of Mobile. Roses were presented by the couple to their mothers and sisters on entering and to their respective new mothers and sisters during the recessional. Reception A reception was held at the Grand Taverne located inside The Grand Central Hotel. A large scroll and ostrich feather pen were placed on a table at the entrance where guests were asked to express their wishes for the couple. Guest and dessert tables were draped with black linens with black pillar candles in pewter holders nestled in mounds of red and burgundy rose petals. Burgundy organza gift bags filled with treats and pewter placecard holders marked each seat. The dessert tables were sprinkled with rose petals and decorated with photographs of the couple as children in pewter frames. The cake table held a threetiered wedding cake which was covered in cream cheese icing and chocolate ganache, embellished with chocolate covered strawberries and fresh roses between each layer. A pewter ice bucket held bottles of champagne and renaissance style pewter goblets. A second table featured a large pewter tray flanked by rose topiaries and filled with an assortment of hand made truffles. Victorian burgundy organza gift bags were provided for guests to place their choice of truffles. After a toast by the maid of honor, guests dined on sauteed wild mushrooms and cognac cream in puff pastry, crab cakes, scallops with jumbo lump crab, steak with shallot bourbon butter, roast duckling, gratin dauphinios potatoes, risotto, sauteed asparagus and field greens.
The couple explored Eureka Springs for their honeymoon. They are making their home in Mobile.
