Mr. and Mrs. Horace Schultz celebrate 50 years of marriage

Mr. and Mrs. Horace Daniel Schultz will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary May 25, 2008. Mrs. Schultz is the former Lorraine Stringer of Jackson. Mr. Schultz is a native of Grove Hill.

The couple was married in 1958 at the Stave Creek Baptist Church. Married by the groom's brother, the Rev. T.R. Schultz and the Rev. W.G. Robertson, they were the first couple to be married in the sanctuary of the new church.

They are the parents of three daughters, Sonya (Marvin) Myer, Lori (Allen) Syphrit and Angela (James) Wade. Their five grandchildren are Kirk Myer, Kent Myer, Mollie Wade, Andrew Wade and the late Daniel Wade.

A reception honoring the couple will be Sunday, May 25 in the fellowship hall of Stave Creek Baptist Church from 2-4 p.m. Co-hosting the event with the couple's daughters and families will be Dr. and Mrs. Glen Bridges. Friends and family are invited through the medium of the press. No gifts please.
