Sadie Mac Little

Sadie Mac Little, died at the age of 91 at a Mobile hospital. A native of Mississippi and resident of Chatom, she was a retired secretary for both Forest Products Company and also for Chatom Baptist Church. She was the first town clerk of Chatom, as well as a member of the Chatom Baptist Church, Chatom Baptist WMU and the Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include two daughters, Regina (Billie) Thornton and Peggy (Chuck) Reynolds, both of Chatom; one sister, Margaret Haskins of Mobile; eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were May 13 at the Chatom Baptist Church with Bro. Monty Mills and Bro. Mike Fell officiating. Interment was in the Springbank Cemetery in Chatom with Lathan Funeral Home of Chatom directing.

Pallbearers were her grandsons and grandsons-in-law, Norris Thornton, Bro. Mike Fell, Brad Thornton, Charlie Thornton, Brian Howard, Chris Beech and Glenn Sansing. Honorary pallbearers included the ladies of her Sunday School class, the deacons and past deacons.
