Jackson PD arrests man wanted by U.S. Marshals
By Evan Carden SA Editor

A Grove Hill man wanted by U.S. Marshals on sexual assault charges was arrested early Tuesday by Jackson Police.

According to Chief Charles Burge, Officer Barry Fowler was patrolling in the area of Forest Avenue around 1:55 a.m., when he observed a suspicious vehicle near some businesses. The vehicle, a 1994 Chevy Suburban, driven by Nakia Delarence Allen, 25, of Grove Hill, was followed by Fowler to College Avenue where he conducted a traffic stop. While running a check on Allen, it was discovered the U.S. Marshals' Office had warrants for his arrest in connection with a sexual assault case. No other details were available by Wednesday's press deadline.

Allen was taken into custody and held in the Jackson City Jail to await pickup by U.S. Marshals.
