Old St. Matthew presents men's day and revival The Annual Men's Day program at Old St. Matthew No. 2 Baptist Church in the Lily Valley community of Choctaw Bluff will be Sunday, May 25 at 2 p.m. Guest speaker will be the Rev. Lenard Frazier, pastor of Stonewall Baptist Church of Chatom, with Deacon Woodie Pugh master of order. The theme of the event is "The whole duty of man", Ecclesiastes 12:13-14. Revival services at the church will be Monday, May 26 through Friday, May 30 at 7:30 nightly. Pastors, churches and choirs are encouraged to attend on the indicated night, but if that day is inconvenient, attend whenever possible. Monday's speaker will be the Rev. Richmond Chaney, pastor of St. Union Baptist Church in Leroy. Churches are St. Union of Leroy; St. Union, Mt. Olive, Foreman Chapel, Vernal Chapel, Inspirational Tabernacle, all of Jackson; Greater Mt. Sinai and Old Mt. Sinai. Tuesday's speaker is the Rev. Clifford Mitchell, pastor of the Church of God in Christ in Mt. Vernon. Churches include the Church of God Pentecostal, St. James, New Canon, New St. Matthew, all of Choctaw Bluff; Mt. Gilead, St. Paul, Mt. Nebo and A.O.H., all of Carlton. Wednesday's speaker is the Rev. Robert Jackson, pastor of the St. Luke Baptist Church in Winn. Churches are St. Luke, Springfield, Good Hope, St. Paul, all of Salitpa; James Chapel, Union Chapel and Rocky Mount, all of Barlow Bend. Thursday's speaker is the Rev. Norman Howard, pastor of Big John Baptist Church of Malcom. Churches are Big John James Chapel of St. Stephens, St. John, Antioch A.M.E., St. Matthew No. 1 and Cedar Fork A.O.H., all of Gainestown. Friday's speaker is the Rev. William Jackson, pastor of the Little Burrah Baptist Church in Manilla. Churches include Little Burrah, Greater Pilgrim Rest, St. Luke, Good Hope, all of Walker Springs; Pine Chapel No. 1 Baptist, Orange Hill Baptist, both of Grove Hill; and Pine Chapel No. 2 of Toddtown.
Dinner will be served. All men are requested to pay $100. Visitors may contribute at will.
