Centenarians celebrate birthdays at Jackson Health Care Facility

Millry asks county for partnership in pursuing grants

      Roy Chapman, mayor of Millry met with the Washington County Commission Monday to discuss the county's possible participation in two grants the town has applied for. The first grant is an 80/20 match. Chapman believes that Millry is virtually assured of securing this grant.

      On April 28, 2008, Leo Levy Leddon Jr., of Millry was among a record setting 293 University of Alabama College of Education students who were initiated into the Alpha Sigma Chapter of Kappa Delta Epsilon. Kappa Delta Epsilon a nationally based honor fraternity started in 1933.
